ANDREW PROPPS has extensive experience in contentious matters in the restructuring and insolvency contexts, representing debtors, foreign representatives, creditors, strategic partners, and defendants in and out of court, including in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 15 (recognition of foreign proceedings) cases under the United States Bankruptcy Code. He has advised clients across a number of industries, including financial services, energy, media and telecommunications, technology, transportation, and retail.
In addition to traditional restructuring work, a significant portion of his practice has centered on litigating adversary proceedings (particularly avoidance actions), including briefing dispositive and other motions, engaging in fact and expert discovery, and handling pretrial matters, as well as engaging in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings and negotiating settlement agreements.
