SHAMELLE RICHARDS is an associate in the Healthcare and FDA group, where she advises clients on a range of regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters, including U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulatory issues. Her practice focuses on matters involving pharmaceuticals, biological products, medical devices, food and dietary supplements, and guidance related to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
Shamelle earned her J.D. from Yale Law School and holds a master’s degree in Public Health with an emphasis in epidemiology and biostatistics from Johns Hopkins. While attending Yale, Shamelle served as an intern for the Honorable Jeffrey A. Meyer of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. During her studies at Johns Hopkins, she conducted research for the Maryland Department of Health, Office of Minority Health.
Prior to law school, Shamelle worked for the University of Washington Department of Global Health, where she supported health economics and global health leadership projects.
