CHRIS ROSS is a senior managing associate in the litigation group with broad trial and appellate experience. He joined Sidley after serving as a Deputy Solicitor General and Si Karas Fellow in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, where he represented clients in the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of Ohio. In addition to briefing cases in each of those courts, he presented oral argument in the Sixth Circuit. Chris was previously an associate at an international law firm, where he specialized in financial institutions litigation, including extensive experience with e-discovery, witness depositions and dispositive motions practice.
Before serving as a Deputy Solicitor General, Chris was a law clerk to the Honorable Alice M. Batchelder of the Sixth Circuit. He received his law degree with honors from the Fordham University School of Law, and was Executive Notes Editor of the Fordham Law Review and Symposium Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy.
