HEIDI SAVABI practices in the litigation group in the firm’s New York office. Her experience includes handling matters within the Commercial Litigation and Disputes and White Collar: Government Litigation and Investigations practices. Heidi maintains an active pro bono practice, counseling clients on matters ranging from immigration law to criminal defense.
Prior to joining Sidley, Heidi was an executive editor at an academic research magazine in Florida. She also taught English in an underserved public school in Barranquilla, Colombia for Colombia’s Ministry of Education.
Heidi received her J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she was the membership and comment editor of the Journal of Human Rights, vice president of the Diversity Coalition and Human Rights Project and senior advisor to the Tanzania Legal Reform Project. While attending Northwestern, Heidi participated in the law school’s Children and Family Justice Center clinic.
Heidi is fluent in Spanish.
