ANNE SUTTON spends the time to understand our client’s business, their goals and the technology driving the deal to solve issues and complete the transaction. Anne who is counsel in the firm’s Chicago office and is a member of its Technology and IP Transactions team, focuses her practice on IP licensing and technology transactions and intellectual property aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions. Anne has advised companies in industries ranging from start-ups to leaders in the information technology, consumer electronics and healthcare sectors. She has particular experience in structuring and drafting development and licensing of software, cloud and web-based products and services, as well as on consultancy, and services transactions.
Anne has been named as an Illinois Rising Stars Super Lawyer in 2014–2016. Additionally, Anne has been recognized in Who’s Who Legal: Telecommunications & Technology in 2015 and 2016.
Anne joined the firm in 2016 after having prior experience in intellectual property at two international law firms. She earned her law degree from The John Marshall Law School, where she was a member of The John Marshall Law Review and graduated cum laude.
