JULIA TABAT is an associate in the firm’s Chicago office. She is a member of the IP Litigation practice.
Before joining Sidley, Julia served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard G. Taranto of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Julia graduated with high honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was co-chair of the Hinton Moot Court Board and a member of the University of Chicago Legal Forum. While attending law school, Julia received the Thomas Mulroy Prize for Excellence in Appellate Advocacy and the Dean’s Award for best exam in a section of Contracts, Civil Procedure I, and Civil Procedure II by a first-year student. Julia graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017 with B.S. degrees in Neurobiology and Legal Studies.
