JORDAN VARBERG focuses his practice on all aspects of employment litigation, counseling, and advice on corporate transactions. Jordan has drafting experience in a wide range of contexts, including dispositive motions in litigation and arbitration disputes, written discovery and discovery motions, and employment-related contracts. Jordan also regularly conducts employment due diligence on corporate transactions, as well as counsels clients on sensitive employment events, including investigations and executive terminations.
Before joining Sidley, Jordan served as a law clerk for the Honorable Jerry E. Smith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Honorable David R. Stras of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Jordan earned his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, graduating Order of the Coif in 2019. While in law school, he served as publishing editor on the California Law Review. He also earned his B.A. in philosophy, magna cum laude, from Wheaton College (Illinois).
