ANDRÉ WASHINGTON is an associate in the Global Finance group of the firm’s Chicago office.
André earned his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School in 2019 and completed the Doctoroff Business Leadership Program in partnership with the Booth School of Business. André was also a staff member of the Chicago Journal of International Law and published a Comment on Market Economies in International Trade.
Prior to law school, André earned his B.M. in Classical Flute Performance from the Eastman School of Music in 2010. He then studied as a Fulbright Scholar in France, where he earned his Artist Diploma in Chamber Music Performance from the École Normale de Musique de Paris in 2013.
André remains connected to music and the arts in several ways. He is a member of the Illinois Arts Council, a position to which he was appointed by Governor J.B. Pritzker. He also serves on the board of SkyART, a nonprofit that provides free visual arts instruction to underprivileged youth on the south side of Chicago.
