Sidley is proud to announce that the Chicago CIO Leadership Association honored Sidley’s Chief Information Officer Vince Marin with the “2018 Chicago CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Award” in the Enterprise category. Most notably Vince was chosen for the annual award by a committee comprising prominent CIOs in the Chicago area.
Vince was recognized for his invaluable leadership and management effectiveness, as well as his “innovation in strategy and implementation of enterprise-wide IT systems.” Larry A. Barden, partner and Chair of Sidley’s Management Committee, stated, “Vince has been a key member of Sidley’s executive leadership team and has been a truly outstanding CIO” since he joined Sidley in July 2013.
At Sidley, Vince has a broad set of responsibilities in the firm related to information technology and three of Sidley’s other core business functions – Knowledge Management, Litigation and Practice Support, Records Management and Docket. Working with the firm’s other business leaders and partners, Vince has developed and implemented solutions that allow Sidley lawyers and staff to customize work product and better connect with Sidley’s clients and each other.
The Chicago CIO of the Year® Award is the “premier technology executive recognition program in the United States.” The Award recognizes chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. Finalists and winners are selected through an independent peer review process, led by prior Award recipients.
