San Francisco partner Irene Yang has been selected to serve as Vice Chair of the Patent Litigation Committee of the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
The Patent Litigation Committee studies patent decisions issued by the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the federal district courts, the Court of Federal Claims, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the International Trade Commission.
The Committee focuses on the impact of these decisions on the practice of law involving intellectual property, including practice before the Federal Circuit, trial procedure, court management, such as the Patent Pilot Program, and best practices, such as model patent rules.
Irene is a member of the Sidley’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice. She has considerable experience representing clients in patent cases across a broad range of industries and technologies. She has significant trial and appellate experience before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and U.S. District Courts in California, Texas, Delaware, Illinois, New York and Florida, as well as before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).
