Crain’s Chicago Business named Chicago partners Paul Choi, Craig Griffith and Ami Wynne to its 2018 “Chicago’s Notable Lawyers” list, recognizing them for their “leadership in the legal profession, in Illinois and beyond” as well as for “advancing the causes of justice and equality.”
Paul was praised for his co-leadership of Sidley’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice, for leading “dozens of multibillion-dollar transactions” and his years of service to his alma mater — Harvard University — serving as president of the Harvard Club of Chicago and as president of the global Harvard Alumni Association.
Craig was admired for his leadership within the firm, serving as a member of Sidley’s Executive Committee since 2011 and as a global co-chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee and leading Sidley’s Associate Assignment and Compensation Committee for nearly a decade. Crain's Chicago Business also praised him for serving on the boards of the Lupus Society of Illinois and the Thurgood Marshall College fund — two organizations of personal importance to him.
Ami was commended for her role as a global co-leader of Sidley’s Labor, Employment and Immigration practice, defending employers in employment discrimination, restrictive covenant, contract dispute and employment-related cases in state and federal courts. She was further applauded for counseling numerous Chicago cultural institutions and nonprofits on a pro bono basis and for being a board member of Lawyers Lend-a-Hand to Youth.
