Daily Journal named Century City partner Joshua G. DuClos to its 2020 “Top 40 Under 40” list. The annual supplement celebrates the achievements of California-based lawyers under the age of 40.
Daily Journal cited Josh for handling deals for tech companies, many of which are sponsored by Clearlake Capital Group. He also drew praise for his representation of BaseHealth Inc., a Bay Area healthcare data analytics company, in its April 2020 merger with Genalyte Inc., based in San Diego, California and Austin, Texas, which, among other products, makes rapid COVID-19 serology tests. The supplement also noted him for helping clients navigate the CARES Act and the Paycheck Protection Program in real time during the COVID-19 crisis, often on a pro bono basis, and highlighted his experience with the dynamics of special purpose acquisition companies, or “SPACs”, which have become increasingly dominant acquisition vehicles in the last few years.
Josh concentrates his practice on representing private equity sponsors, public and privately held companies, and their respective stakeholders and advisers in buyouts, investments and divestitures. He is experienced in advising buyers and sellers in the technology, software, internet and social media, media and entertainment, retail, consumer products, and life sciences industries.
