Billboard named Rollin Ransom to its 2021 “Top Music Lawyers” list. This is the second consecutive time he has been recognized by the annual list, which profiles stellar lawyers in the music industry.
Billboard praised Rollin for counseling The Music Center — the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Ahmanson Theater, and the Mark Taper Forum — as the Los Angeles venues moved to virtual events during the pandemic. He was also commended for offering guidance to the RIAA and major labels.
Rollin serves as co-leader of Sidley’s global Commercial Litigation and Disputes practice. He is managing partner of the Los Angeles office and also head of the Greater Los Angeles Litigation group. Representing both individuals and corporations, Rollin has extensive experience prosecuting and defending lawsuits involving a wide variety of intellectual property claims, including copyright and theft of idea, trademark, false advertising, trade secret, and unfair competition actions with a specific focus on the media and entertainment industry.
