Sidley a 2021 Powerhouse in Illinois Says Law360

The publication recognized Sidley in its annual feature celebrating the law firms who stand out in Chicago’s ultra-competitive legal market.

Law360 dubbed Sidley a “success story” for embracing the firm’s local roots while seizing on opportunities in other competitive markets to build its private equity practice and develop a strong brand in the life sciences, insurance, energy, and technology areas. Law360 highlighted Sidley’s role advising Chicago-based Sterigenics on an array of U.S. litigation, regulatory, and legislative fronts, including one of the largest and most active mass tort cases currently pending in Cook County. Also noted was Sidley’s representation of Chicago-based tech startup Tock in its US$400 million acquisition by Squarespace, as well as the firm’s work with Regal Beloit Corp. in its US$9.1 billion combination with the Process & Motion Control Business of Rexnord Corp.
