Sidley is pleased to announce that The Sidley Austin Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, has made a $50,000 donation to the University of Texas School of Law to establish an Endowed Scholarship Fund. This charitable gift underscores the firm’s commitment to this University and its students who represent the next generation of legal talent.
“UT Law School is a top-tier institution that produces talented and capable lawyers, and that’s why we actively recruit from and support it,” said Yvette Ostolaza, managing partner of Sidley’s Dallas office and member of the firm’s management and executive committees. “We have many UT Law School alums at Sidley who are understandably proud of their strong educational background and continually look for ways to give back to their alma mater, both through personal financial contributions as well as active engagement through volunteering in support of the University’s law school programs.”
“At UT Law School, our mission is preparing students for great careers at the highest levels of the legal profession,” said Ward Farnsworth, dean of the University of Texas School of Law. “My top priority as dean is to cultivate those who are as passionate about the success of our students as I am. That’s why it gives me such a profound sense of satisfaction when law firms commit to our students through scholarships. Many thanks to our friends at Sidley, who have said, ‘Count us in!’”
