GABRIELLE CUSKELLY is a partner in Sidley’s Century City office and a member of the firm’s global real estate and hospitality practices. Her practice focus tilts heavily toward the hospitality industry where she advises private equity funds, management companies, investment banks, institutional lenders, life insurance companies, and other real estate investors on both cross-border and domestic transactions. Gabrielle’s practice is broad and also includes a wide variety of real estate transactions, including mortgage and mezzanine financing and joint ventures, as well as portfolio and “one-off” acquisitions and sales.
Gabrielle is recognized by Chambers USA as an “Up and Coming” lawyer for “building a strong reputation across real estate law, focusing on advising lender- or borrower-side clients in relation to mortgage or mezzanine financing” (2022). She earned her J.D. from University of California, Berkeley School of Law, Order of the Coif, where she served as an articles editor for the Ecology Law Quarterly and was a teaching assistant for Written and Oral Advocacy. She received her B.S., summa cum laude, from Montana State University.
Gabrielle is a member of the planning committee for the USC Gould School of Law Real Estate Law and Business Forum and a member of the program planning committee for the Americas Lodging Investment Summit. She is also co-chair of the firm’s Pro Bono and Public Interest Law Committee in Greater Los Angeles.
