SUI-HANG HUI’s practice focuses on international arbitration and dispute resolution. He has broad experience advising on general commercial matters, including proceedings conducted under the ICC, HKIAC, SIAC, and UNCITRAL rules, as well as before the Hong Kong courts and tribunals.
Prior to joining Sidley, Sui-Hang was a Judicial Assistant at the Court of Final Appeal, the highest appellate court in Hong Kong. He has also spent six months on secondment to the M&A team of another Wall Street firm in New York.
Sui-Hang is part of the Steering Committee of IBA Arb 40, the under-40 arbitration group of the International Bar Association. In 2023, Sui-Hang was appointed by the Secretary for Justice as a member of the Advisory Committee on Promotion of Arbitration. He was also appointed in the same year by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as a member on the Appeal Panel (Housing), which is an independent statutory body established under section 7A of the Housing Ordinance (Cap. 283). In addition, he serves as a Committee Member of HK45 as well as the Law Society’s Greater China Legal Affairs Committee and Arbitration Committee.
Sui-Hang is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
