JACOB KARIM is a member of the IP Litigation practice in Sidley’s San Francisco Office.
Jacob earned his J.D. from the University of California, Irvine, where he was president of the Intellectual Property Law Society and a campus ambassador for a large research software company. Jacob also authored a note discussing the implications of Artificial Intelligence and CRISPR technology on the patent system in conjunction with a course on emerging technology and corporate law.
Prior to law school, Jacob worked in the engineering field in various short-term roles, including quality control at an aerospace manufacturing facility to designing aftermarket motorcycle parts. Jacob earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering, magna cum laude, from California State University Polytechnic, Pomona.
