DAN KELLY focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and electronic discovery. He has over a decade of experience with matters relating to electronically stored information (ESI). Dan’s work encompasses all stages of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), from information governance to identification, preservation, collection, review, and production. He advises clients and case teams on advanced analytical technologies such as technology-assisted review (TAR), clustering, and concept searching. Dan also works closely with clients to develop practical, defensible information governance policies, including document retention policies, records retention schedules, and social media use policies.
Dan received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Prior to joining Sidley, Dan worked as an associate for another Chicago-based law firm. He also previously served as the head of marketing at an early-stage Chicago fintech startup.
