JASON MARSICO is a senior managing associate in the Employment and Labor group. Jason’s practice spans all manner of corporate employment matters, including litigation, counseling, and transactional matters. Jason litigates on behalf of employers in class and collective actions, as well as in single- and multiple-plaintiff cases, in cases related to noncompetition and other restrictive covenants, contractual disputes, wage and hour, employment discrimination, and retaliation and harassment. His litigation practice spans all stages of litigation, from administrative proceedings to motion practice, discovery, and appeals, with a specialty in drafting dispositive and other key motions and appellate briefing.
Jason counsels clients on a diverse range of corporate employment issues, including executive hiring and termination, employment contracts, proprietary information and trade secret protection, disciplinary matters, and personnel policies. He also has extensive experience advising on employment-related issues in mergers and acquisitions (both buy-side and sell-side), and frequently directs due diligence related to employment matters in such transactions.
Jason’s industry experience is broad, including clients in industries such as technology, insurance, sports, entertainment, higher education, professional services, and transportation.
Prior to joining Sidley, Jason served as a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas M. Hardiman of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Jason received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law, where he was a notes editor on the Northwestern Law Review. He attended Northwestern on the John Henry Wigmore merit scholarship. Jason received his B.S. in Finance, summa cum laude, from Miami University.
