MELISSA MEZA is an associate in the firm’s Century City office and a member of the M&A and Private Equity practices. Prior to joining Sidley, she completed a fellowship with the American Civil Liberties Union where she worked on litigation relating to immigrants’ rights.
Melissa earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a staff editor for the Columbia Human Rights Law Review and Columbia Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual. During law school, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Debra Ann Livingston of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, completed an immigration defense externship with the Legal Aid Society, and was a member of the Advanced Mediation Clinic. Melissa received her B.A. in economics and international development studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
