THEODORE N. MILLER is principally involved in risk management counseling for law firms and the representation of law firms and accounting firms in complex professional liability and regulatory litigation.
Most recently, Mr. Miller has been responsible for supervising the defense of a law firm in a complex and interrelated series of investigations and lawsuits by enforcement agencies, investigatory bodies and civil litigants.
Mr. Miller was lead counsel representing the accounting professionals in the complex securities litigation and regulatory proceedings growing out of the Orange County bankruptcy. One such proceeding involved a lengthy trial lasting more then 100 days.
Mr. Miller was also lead counsel for a number of senior executives, partnerships and other related entities in the Drexel - Milken securities litigation. That litigation involved over 150 separate lawsuits which were consolidated before a single judge in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Prior to that, Mr. Miller was one of the principal members of the trial team in MCI v. AT&T and U.S. v. AT&T.
Mr. Miller served as Vice Chairman of the firm’s Management Committee and also served as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. In that role, Mr. Miller was responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the firm’s risk management activities.
During law school, Mr. Miller served on the Yale Law Journal and was appointed an Assistant in Instruction in the Law School. Following graduation, he clerked for the Honorable Luther M. Swygert on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
