ROBERT SMITH is an associate in the Supreme Court and Appellate litigation group.
Prior to joining the firm, Robert served as special counsel to the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and as a law clerk to the Honorable Eric E. Murphy of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He previously worked as a pro bono fellow for Catholic Charities Legal Network, a legislative aide to U.S. Representative Mike Kelly, and a judicial intern to the Honorable Jeffrey S. Sutton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Robert earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was Submissions Editor for the Journal of Law & Politics and President of the Federalist Society. He received his B.A. in government with minors in music and anthropology from Dartmouth College.
