ANDREAS STEIGER advises secured and unsecured creditors, distressed investors, debtors, shareholders and sponsors on financial and operational restructurings in both non-insolvency and insolvency situations, predominantly in a cross-border context with a focus on complex capital structures. He also advises on all matters regarding German insolvency law.

He is also recognized in Chambers Europe 2023, where clients describe him as “very results-focused and driven.” The 2022 and 2021 editions ranked him as an up-and-coming practitioner in Restructuring/Insolvency. Prior to joining Sidley in 2017, Andreas was a managing associate in the banking/restructuring and insolvency practice of another international law firm.
