SARAH WERTZ is an associate in the Investment Funds group in the firm’s Chicago office. Her practice focuses on the formation and operation of private alternative investment funds. Sarah advises and represents clients in securities, derivatives, and futures-related regulatory and corporate matters, including hedge funds, private equity funds, managed accounts, commodity pools and securities, futures, and derivatives trading.
Prior to joining Sidley, Sarah was a Public Interest Law Initiative Graduate Fellow at the University of Wisconsin Law School – Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic.
Sarah graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she served as a note and comment editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. Sarah earned her B.A. from Northwestern University in radio/television/film and spent several years working in Los Angeles before attending law school.
