Panelist Biographies
Devi Koya, Managing Director, Stark Investments
Devi Koya is the Managing Director of Structured Finance. She is responsible for the finance structuring groups within Stark Investments. Prior to joining Stark in 2005, Devi was a partner at McDermott Will & Emery LLP in Chicago, where she was a member of the Financial Products, Trading and Derivatives Group within the Tax Department. At McDermott, Devi advised clients on the documentation and regulation of financial products, including over-the-counter derivative transactions. Previously, she worked at Citadel Investment Group where she was responsible for the documentation and financing terms for their trading activities. Devi holds a Masters of Science in Finance from Illinois Institute of Technology (1995), a law degree from DePaul University College of Law (1993) and a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University (1990).
Roxanne M. Martino, President and CEO, Harris Alternatives L.L.C.
Roxanne M. Martino is President and CEO of Harris Alternatives L.L.C., a $14 Billion investment firm and the manager of the Aurora family of funds. Prior to joining Harris in 1990, Roxanne was an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand and a general partner with an alternative investment firm. Roxanne received her BBA from The University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Roxanne is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago, current chairperson of the Business Advisory Council and Member of the Executive Education Advisory Board of the Mendoza College of Business of The University of Notre Dame. Her memberships include The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. Roxanne has appeared on CNBC and CNNfn and is also a contributing author of a chapter titled “The Due Diligence Process” in the book, Hedge Fund Strategies, 2nd Edition.Terri Engelman Rhoads, President, Midwest Management Group, Inc.
Terri Engelman Rhoads is President of Midwest Management Group, Inc. Her primary focus at Midwest has been to provide due diligence consulting and investment overview to investors with exposure to hedge funds. From 1989 to 1994, Terri was in the institutional sales area of the futures and hedge fund business at Jack Carl Group and ED&F Man International, respectively. In 1994, she joined Canadian based NFG to form a U.S.-based subsidiary, staying through 2000 and returning in May 2003 through February 2005. As President of NIP, Inc, her primary focus was on the development of a completely transparent fund of hedge funds structure. In December 2000, Terri left to initiate a hedge fund platform for the Guggenheim Group. She graduated from University of Colorado, Boulder with a major in Economics and holds Series 3 and 63 Licenses. She is a founding member of Hedge Funds Care – Chicago chapter.
