Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly recently named Doreen M. Rachal (Boston) to their list of the 2018 Top Women of Law. This annual list recognizes exceptional women lawyers who made tremendous professional strides and demonstrated great accomplishments in the legal field, which includes: pro bono, social justice, advocacy and business. Doreen was honored at a ceremony on October 18 at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel in Boston.
Doreen currently serves on the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission by appointment of the governor, and is a past president of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association. She is also on the board of directors of a community development organization, which strives to provide affordable housing for Boston residents and educational programs and services for Boston-based families. Prior to joining Sidley, Doreen served as an Assistant United States Attorney at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts in the Affirmative Civil Enforcement Unit.
