New York partners Laura M. Barzilai and Nancy Chung were named to Crain’s New York Business’ 2019 “Notable Women in Law” list.
Crain’s praised Laura for her industry experience of more than 30 years as a transactional and tax controversy lawyer, as well as for co-leading Sidley’s global Tax practice and being a member of Sidley’s executive committee. She was further commended for being a member and the former New York chair of Sidley’s Committee on the Retention and Promotion of Women.
Nancy was lauded for her co-leadership of Sidley’s Litigation group along with her experience spanning two decades handling complex disputes and investigations and crisis management situations, including commercial, white-collar criminal defense, securities and bankruptcy litigation matters. Crain’s also noted her recognition as a 2018 “Rainmaker” by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association for her know-how and for providing positive results to clients.
Crain’s “Notable Women in Law” list celebrates the landmark achievements of an “exceptional pool of talented women lawyers” in New York City. Sidley is proud to have Laura and Nancy in the great company of the other trailblazing women featured in the list and congratulates all those recognized.
