Eva Von Mühlenen has joined Sidley’s Global Life Sciences practice. From her base in Switzerland, Eva becomes the latest addition to the firm’s multidisciplinary and integrated global network of lawyers focused on serving clients in the Life Sciences sector.
Eva brings to Sidley a wealth of digital health experience, including the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Prior to joining Sidley, Eva served with Swissmedic, the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products, as Deputy Head of the Legal Advice Department and as Legal Advisor to the agency’s Digital Transformation Initiative SMC 4.0. In those roles, Eva was responsible for developing and revising Swiss regulations, and represented Swissmedic as lead counsel before the Swiss Federal Administrative Court and the Swiss Federal Supreme Court. Eva is a thought leader on digital health issues, currently serving as an advisor to the Swiss National Science Foundation’s National Research Programme 77 on “Digital Transformation”, which is charged with developing a policy roadmap for digital health innovation.
Eva is passionate about helping clients confront business challenges and mitigate risk in order to drive responsible and trustworthy developments in digital health and foster emerging opportunities in healthcare afforded by new technologies.
The combination of Eva’s skills and experience with the wider Sidley European Life Sciences team in London, Brussels, Munich, and Geneva, strengthens the firm’s ability to serve a wider range of our global clients’ needs in the region.
