LEENA DAI focuses her practice on environmental, health, and safety litigation and regulatory compliance, with experience defending clients against enforcement actions brought by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the California Air Resources Board (CARB), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Leena has assisted clients with a variety of challenges under environmental statutes and regulatory frameworks including the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Toxic Substances and Control Act (TSCA), the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), and the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).
Prior to joining Sidley, Leena was a law student intern for the City of Boston Law Department and a New England-based environmental nonprofit. She also worked at a food and cleantech venture capital firm in Singapore prior to law school.
Leena received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was an executive editor for the Harvard Law Review. She also holds an M.A. in China Studies (Law and Society) from Peking University, where she was a Yenching Scholar. Leena received her B.A. from Columbia University.
