BERNARDO LOPEZ is an associate in the Litigation group in the firm's Chicago office.
Bernardo graduated cum laude from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2020, where he was Online Articles Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review, and a member of the Moot Court Society. Prior to Sidley, Bernardo was a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Fellow at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), where he worked on civil rights litigation. During his time in law school, Bernardo worked at the Northwestern Bluhm Civil Litigation Legal Clinic representing clients in housing court. At Northwestern, Bernardo was also an executive board member of the Latino Law Students Association and the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP).
Between undergraduate and law school, Bernardo worked as a senior associate for global executive search firm Egon Zehnder.
Bernardo is fluent in Spanish.
