TERESA MAYR focuses on international dispute settlements and public international law. She represents private parties and governments in commercial and investment treaty arbitration disputes involving a host of different applicable laws and seats of arbitration. Her experience includes advising clients from a range of industries, including construction, mining, pharmaceuticals and sports.
Teresa obtained her law degree from the University of Cambridge and holds an LL.M. degree from Leiden University in advanced studies in public international law, with a specialization in international dispute settlement. Her career features both public and private sector experience, having represented two states at the United Nations in Geneva and New York, and clerked with a judge at the International Court of Justice in The Hague. Prior to joining Sidley, she worked for international law firms in Geneva and London, focusing on international arbitration and public international law.
Teresa is a U.S.-qualified attorney and is fluent in German and English.
