DANIEL RAYMER is an associate in the Investment Funds group in the firm’s New York office. His practice includes representing clients in the offering and formation of alternative investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and REITs. He also counsels institutional investors in connection with their investments in private funds and advises registered funds and investment managers in connection with ongoing legal and regulatory compliance with the securities laws.
In addition, Dan regularly represents both issuers and underwriters in a variety of public and private debt and equity transactions by REITs, including initial public offerings.
Prior to joining Sidley, Dan worked at a top aviation leasing company, where he reviewed lease return provisions and prepared drafts of lease amendments and purchase contracts’ clauses.
While attending New York University School of Law, Dan served as managing editor of the Journal of Law and Business. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Charles D. Klein Law and Business Award for his demonstrated excellence in combining the analysis of legal issues and business issues.
