CAROLINE WOOD is a litigation associate in Sidley’s Chicago office. Her practice involves advising and representing clients in ERISA litigation, securities and shareholder derivative matters, and complex commercial disputes. Caroline joined the firm following a clerkship for Chief Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer of the Northern District of Illinois.
Caroline earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School. While in law school, she was the Executive Editor of the Chicago Journal of International Law, and she received the Joseph Henry Beale Prize for Outstanding Work in Legal Research and Writing. She also participated in the Employment Law Clinic and interned for Judge Thomas D. Schroeder of the Middle District of North Carolina.
Prior to law school, Caroline was a middle and high school English teacher. She graduated summa cum laude with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish.
