
Biography
SOFYA ABRAMS is counsel in the firm’s Los Angeles office and practices in the Investment Funds group. Her practice focuses on the representation of managers in the organization and re-organization of their investment advisory businesses and on the structuring, formation, and operation of domestic and offshore hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds, and a wide variety of other types of private investment funds, using a broad range of investment strategies and targeting a broad range of asset classes. Sofya regularly advises clients on regulatory and corporate matters related to domestic and international fund securities offerings as well as U.S. federal and state investment adviser regulation and compliance. She also represents clients in negotiated transactions that include managed account agreements, single investor funds, investor side letters and “seed” investment arrangements.
