Sidley is pleased to announce Mahalia Doughty has been selected to participate in the 2023–2024 Leadership Class of the Institute for Energy Law. Mahalia is one of 40 highly accomplished professionals selected by a committee to take part in the prestigious leadership program, which brings together energy professionals from across the United States and Washington, D.C. to strengthen leadership skills for success in tackling today’s ever-changing climate within the legal and energy industries.
Mahalia has extensive experience representing financial institutions, public and private companies, and private equity funds in a wide variety of financing transactions in both the United States and abroad, with a concentration on acquisition financing, asset-based lending (including reserve-based lending for oil and gas transactions), investment grade lending, alternative lending arrangements, and general working capital facilities.
Mahalia has also been recognized by Best Lawyers: “Ones to Watch” in Banking and Finance Law and she also serves as a committee member for the Women in Energy Network.
