LAURA HERRERA is a member of the Commercial Litigation and Disputes practice in Sidley’s San Francisco office.
Prior to joining Sidley, Laura participated in Sidley’s summer associate program in 2020. While in law school, she also served as a legal intern with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund.
Laura earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. She was a student attorney in the Civil Rights and Police Accountability Project of the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic, where she worked on a lawsuit that recently achieved one of Chicago’s largest settlements for wrongly convicted persons.
Before attending law school, Laura served in Teach for America as a middle and high school social studies teacher.
Laura graduated with an A.B. in Government from Harvard College.
