DAVID KINNAIRD represents individuals and corporations at all stages of litigation, with a focus on appeals.
Before joining Sidley, David served as a Pro Bono Fellow for the Institute for Justice, where he drafted appellate briefs in civil forfeiture cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Supreme Court of Georgia. He received his law degree at the University of Virginia School of Law. During law school, he served as an articles editor on the Virginia Law Review and published a student note on the legal definition of gambling.
Prior to law school, David taught English to elementary school students in Russia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with departmental honors for his senior research paper on the Catilinarian conspiracy.
