AMELIA MAZZARELLA is a litigator with broad experience representing clients in their most complex commercial litigation disputes in state and federal court, including in matters involving breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation, and copyright and trademark infringement.
Amelia’s work has been high-profile, involving some of the most influential companies and individuals in the world, ranging from the spheres of entertainment and sports to technology and emerging companies.
She also maintains an active pro bono practice, having successfully advocated for clients in the domestic violence context. Prior to joining Sidley, Amelia participated in Sidley’s Pro Bono Fellowship Program, working for the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California on the LGBTQ, Gender & Reproductive Justice Project, where she gained valuable experience in impact litigation.
During law school, Amelia was a coach for the Moot Court Team and an associate editor of the Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law & Justice. In her second year, she won the “Prosser Prize” in Business & Society. She also placed as a National Quarterfinalist and “Best Oralist” for the preliminary rounds of the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition.
She also served as a judicial extern to The Honorable Edward M. Chen of the Northern District of California.
