CARMEN M. ORTEGA-RIVERO is an associate in the Commercial Litigation and Disputes group in the Miami office. Her experience includes complex litigation disputes across diverse practice areas including, but not limited to, contracts, commercial real estate, healthcare litigation, appellate insurance defense, torts defense, and general commercial litigation.
Carmen graduated, magna cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law. During law school, she served as the executive managing editor for the FIU Law Review and received the Outstanding Editing Contribution Award. Carmen was also member of the FIU Law Moot Court and competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court U.S. Pacific Regional Competition, where she was deemed a semifinalist and won third best Memorial.
In 2018, Carmen served as a judicial intern to The Honorable Adalberto Jordan for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Carmen is a native Spanish speaker.
