Biography
CARMEN ORTEGA focuses her practice on class actions, antitrust matters, contract disputes, and other complex commercial litigation. She has experience across a range of industries, including energy, sports, media and entertainment, and real estate.
In addition to her commercial litigation work, Carmen represents companies in complex criminal and civil investigations and white collar matters. She has advised clients on issues involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and alleged antitrust violations.
Carmen served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Ellen F. D’Angelo in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Earlier in her career, in 2018, she served as a judicial intern to The Honorable Adalberto Jordan in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Carmen earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law. She is a native Spanish speaker and is actively involved in the firm’s recruiting efforts.
