| Project Description | Farmerline is a Ghanaian based technology and content provider with operations in Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Malawi and Sierra Leone. They develop contents and digital apps for rural small-scale farmers which provide information on weather forecasts, markets prices, financial services and best farming practices. Farmerline’s work is unique and inclusive in that they even send voice messages in local languages to farmers who are unable to read or write so that they too can benefit from Farmerline’s wide range of information services. Since 2013, Farmerline has empowered over 5,000 smallholder farmers across Ghana with its information services, and has also reached over 200,000 farmers in 5 African countries (Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Cameroon & Malawi).
