Water Access Rwanda (WARwanda) is a social led company that provides simple, affordable and durable water solutions in East Africa through sustainable technologies. WARwanda has extensive, successful experience in Rwanda in almost all of the facets of building and managing water delivery systems including Geophysical Surveys for Groundwater Exploration, coring drilling and repairing bore holes and installing pumps for communities, families, farms, businesses and other institutions, maintaining water delivery systems for its customers. WARwanda has already built and now operates 13 INUMA stations, and is a leading and trusted provider of technical training and consultation to Water4’s partners across sub-Saharan Africa. As a social enterprise WARwanda is committed to serving people and communities in the greatest need of safe water and to reinvesting any operating margins into extending the reach of safe water across Rwanda. WARwanda deploys a next generation business model to reach different communities in a manner that is financially sustainable and that enables the government of Rwanda to reach the key objectives of safely managed water within SDG6 and Ministry of Infrastructure Water and Sanitation (WATSAN) Sector Strategic Plan 2018-2024, ultimately contributing to the government’s Vision 2050 of reaching high income with the use of affordable, reliable, sustainable. Furthermore, their project (INUMA Network water kiosk) touches on and accelerates goals of a cashless economy and job creation -- through cashless meters for revenue collection and the creation of skilled jobs for the youth and vulnerable groups that require short-term training and build capacity on the job. In some cholera infested areas, children had dropped out of school because of the water borne disease. They also conduct Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) trainings explaining to the communities the use water and how to diminish the risk of waterborne diseases. This has proven to be a great impact on the lives of these young ones as their education is no longer hindered because of waterborne diseases.
