Byron Taylor has been named to the 2022 “Notable Black Leaders & Executives” list by Crain’s Chicago Business. The list spotlights Black women and men who have positively affected the city with their professional, community, and philanthropic achievements — particularly in matters of diversity and inclusion. Honorees were selected on the strength of their career accomplishments, professional activities, and their broader community involvement.
As co-leader of the Sidley’s Environmental practice group, he leads lawyers firmwide who advise on complex matters under federal and state environmental and natural resources laws. He also serves as client coordinating partner for numerous clients. A prominent authority on the Clean Air Act, Byron focuses on crisis management, civil litigation, compliance counseling and training, internal investigations, regulatory advocacy, alternative dispute resolution, and environmental aspects of transactions. Byron is also a member of Sidley's Executive Committee and is a firmwide chair of the firm's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.
