Biography
DANIEL ELEFANT focuses his practice on representing high growth emerging companies, venture capital investors, and private equity firms. Daniel advises emerging companies on matters that arise throughout a company’s life cycle, ranging from incorporation and fundraising, to corporate governance, joint ventures, and exits. He also regularly represents venture capital firms, private equity sponsors, and their portfolio companies on a broad range of matters.
Prior to joining Sidley, Daniel was senior counsel at the SoftBank Vision Fund where he represented SoftBank’s US$100 billion venture funds on a variety of transactional matters, including equity investments, joint ventures, and divestitures. While at SoftBank, Daniel worked on over a hundred transactions deploying billions of dollars in capital.
