
Biography
ELLEN HEIGHTEN is a managing associate in the Corporate group in Sidley’s office in Dallas.
Ellen earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University. While attending law school, she was a CLE Editor for the SMU Law Review. Prior to law school, Ellen graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Corporate Communications with a certificate in Business Foundations.
Experience
Representative Matters
- Representing IDEX Corporation in its US$1 billion acquisition of Mott Corporation and its subsidiaries.
- Represented Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners in the sale of its portfolio company, WTG Midstream Holdings LLC, to Energy Transfer LP for US$3.25 billion.
- Represented Presidio Investment Holdings LLC, a portfolio company of Morgan Stanley Energy Partners, in the largest to date by value securitization of oil and gas proved developed producing assets
- Represented Steward Health Care System LLC in its acquisition of Tenet Healthcare Corporation’s five hospitals and related hospital operations in Florida’s Miami-Dade and Southern Broward Counties for approximately US$1.1 billion
- Represented the buyer group in the acquisition of Wells Fargo's approximately US$10 billion student loan portfolio
- Represented Denbury Onshore, LLC, a subsidiary of Denbury Resources, Inc., in the sale of half of Denbury’s working interest position in four southeast Texas oil fields to Navitas Petroleum Onshore, LLC
