MARIAN LEE focuses her practice on complex corporate and transactional matters. She represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters.
Marian participated in Sidley’s Pro Bono Fellowship Program, working for the Public Counsel Law Center in their guardianship clinic, advising individuals on obtaining or terminating guardianship rights. In law school, she was an associate editor of the California Law Review, a senior articles editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal, and a member of the Berkeley Gender Law Journal. She served as a judicial extern for the Honorable David O. Carter at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Charles R. Breyer at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Additionally, Marian competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court competition and worked in the East Bay Community Law Center’s Health and Welfare clinic, assisting clients in obtaining social security benefits.
Before attending law school, Marian worked as a consultant for the National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan, as an Elisabeth Luce Moore ’24 Wellesley-Yenching Graduate Fellow. She also worked at the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University, curating online art exhibitions and providing assistance to faculty and graduate students. Marian was a Fulbright-Hays scholar in Xi’an, China, and conducted research on media relations.
