PATRICK O’KEEFE focuses his practice on real estate capital markets transactions and represents issuers/depositors, originators/loan sellers, underwriters/initial purchasers and third-party purchasers in a broad range of public and private offerings of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) including pooled conduit and single-asset securitization transactions. Patrick also represents lenders in connection with pari passu and A/B mortgage loan intercreditor and participation agreements, and purchasers and sellers of commercial mortgage loans.
Prior to joining Sidley, Patrick was a Vice President at Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC where he represented the company in its capacity as underwriter in connection with private offerings of non-mortgage asset-backed securities. Before that, Patrick practiced at two other major law firms where he also represented issuers/depositors, originators/loan sellers, underwriters/initial purchasers and third-party purchasers in CMBS transactions.
Patrick received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he served as senior writing and research editor on the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. Prior to attending law school, Patrick earned his B.A. in Political Science and French from New York University, College of Arts and Science.
