Kamara Nwosu is an associate in the Litigation group in the firm's Chicago office.
Prior to joining Sidley, Kamara graduated from the University of Chicago Law School having received the Dean's Certificate of Recognition for over 50 hours of pro bono service. Kamara has maintained an active pro bono practice in the firm’s Capital Litigation and Section 1983 projects. While at law school, Kamara was able to broaden her practical legal experience by interning with the City of Chicago Law Department. Kamara completed the International Immersion Program and is a 2020 Cutler Fellow in International Law representing the University of Chicago at the Salzburg Global Seminar for International Law. Kamara worked with the Employment Law Clinic as well as the International Human Rights Clinic. Before law school, Kamara interned with the World Organization Against Torture as their UN Committee Against Torture Liaison. Kamara graduated cum laude from Boston University with a B.A. in Political Science and History. Kamara speaks French with working proficiency.
