Elizabeth Shea Fries to Chair Panel at the 34th IBA Global Challenges and Opportunities for the Asset Management Industry Conference

Sidley Investment Funds partner Elizabeth Shea Fries will chair the “Strategic planning and business leadership for asset management firms” panel at the 34th IBA Global Challenges and Opportunities for the Asset Management Industry Conference. Liz will be joined by Linda Gibson of PGIM Quantitative Solutions, Ted Gooden of Växa Partners, and Warren Tonkinson of Perpetual.

They will discuss some of the challenges and opportunities for business leaders of asset management firms that span jurisdictions. Topics will include managing geopolitical risks and picking jurisdictions for expansion/consolidation; integration of teams across geographies; M&A, GP stakes deals, capital transactions, trends, and challenges; considerations on outsourcing of product management and design; trends in asset classes; and incorporation of AI into asset management businesses.
