Sidley has been shortlisted for the Best Contribution by a Large Firm category at this year’s LawWorks Pro Bono Awards. London-based lawyer Louise McCarthy has also been shortlisted for the Best Contribution by an Individual category. The annual awards celebrate the best legal pro bono activities undertaken by organizations and individuals and the positive impact they have had on those helped. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on December 7, 2021.
Sidley’s pro bono program in London focuses on tackling barriers to access to justice, enhancing the impact of charities and non-profits, and supporting international human rights. Sidley participates in several access to justice projects which aim to bridge the gap that is continually widening for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged groups, particularly women, children, and the disabled.
